Winter Pause: Women's Mindfulness Retreat
self-guided
February 19-22, 2026
Winter Pause is an invitation to step back from momentum and spend a few days in quiet attention. This gathering is about pausing long enough to listen, to reflect, and to set intention for the season ahead, supported by nature, simplicity, and shared presence.
What to expect
Over four winter days, we will spend time outdoors, share meals, and create space for reflection and ease. There is no fixed schedule to follow and no agenda to keep up with. You move at your own pace. Time is open, allowing space for reflection, gentle movement, quiet rest, or simply being with what is already present.

We will practice noble speech, bringing care and intention to how we speak and listen. Conversation is unhurried and optional, shaped by attentiveness rather than expectation.
This is time set aside from fixing or striving. The invitation is to soften, to notice, and to reconnect with a steadier inner rhythm in your own way.
Time in nature and rest
Each day offers open time outdoors, walking the land and letting the season guide you. Aldermarsh
provides a quiet, supportive landscape that naturally invites reflection. There is also space for deep rest, including soaking in the Japanese-style hot tub, allowing the body to unwind and the nervous system to settle, without rushing from one thing to the next.
Communal rhythm
Winter Pause is a communal gathering held with simplicity. Meals are prepared and shared together, as each person is able. A sign-up sheet will be shared ahead of time so food preparation feels easy, flexible, and shared.
Aldermarsh is a wooded 5-acre space integrated within its natural setting where community, collaboration and sustainability thrive.
