Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement

TrailBliss is committed to providing mindfulness experiences in nature to diverse races, cultures, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, faiths, ethnicities, and more.

We believe every individual has the right to be treated with respect and dignity, to experience a nurturing environment for their overall well-being. All TrailBliss volunteers should recognize these rights and be aware of their role as a leader in ensuring that participants experience these rights.

Our aim is to create a more inclusive environment that respects the equality and diversity of those participating or volunteering with TrailBliss to achieve the maximum benefit, enjoyment and fulfillment from the activity.

Diversity fuels Discovery

We recognize that, though people have things in common with each other, they are also different in many ways. People from different backgrounds bring fresh ideas and perceptions adding value to our outdoor experiences. The more diverse our community the better we are able to understand diversity and grow personally.

Equality Furthers Excellence

We are committed to ensure that every participant has an equal opportunity to make the most of their experiences with us. No individual will be unjustly discriminated against because of the way they were born, where they come from, what they believe, or whether they have a disability. We will promote equality of opportunity by seeking to remove barriers and promote equal access to outdoor experiences and learning.

Inclusion Fosters Impact

We will encourage and champion a culture that allows people to be themselves where differences are not just accepted, they are valued. Inclusive leadership, language and actions help ensure people feel involved, respected and connected.

We live and breathe our values of integrity and compassion. We celebrate each volunteers’ and participants’ unique lived experience, diversity and the new ways in which they can bring these values to life by:

● Being respectful of others and ensuring those around us feel safe and supported

● Challenging our existing thoughts and beliefs to continue growing

● Encouraging mindfulness in all our interactions with volunteers and participants
